The Proactive Medical Protekt® Aire 8000 is a high-capacity bariatric pressure mattress system designed to help manage and prevent pressure injuries in patients with limited mobility.
Featuring both low air loss and alternating pressure therapy, this advanced system promotes airflow, reduces skin moisture, and helps redistribute pressure for optimal skin protection and comfort.
With alternating cycles of 10 to 25 minutes, clinicians and caregivers can easily customize settings to meet individual patient needs.
Built with a durable cell-on-cell air bladder design and 10" Nylon/PU air cells, the mattress provides reliable support even during power outages by preventing bottoming out.
This medical mattress also has static mode included for easier transfers, and the seat inflate function increases air pressure in the middle section by 20% to support seated patients.
The pillow top design offers additional head and neck stability, while a fluid-resistant, quilted nylon cover adds comfort and resists bacteria and moisture buildup.
The system includes a redesigned pump with 18 LPM airflow, easy-to-use controls, and safety features such as audio/visual low-pressure alarms and a lockout key to prevent tampering.

Warranty
This product comes with a 2 year non-prorated manufacturer's parts warranty.
Important Notes
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of a new Proactive Medical product.
It does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage due to misuse, alteration, tampering, negligence, accidents, lack of maintenance, unauthorized repair, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Proactive Medical.
If you have any faults with your items, contact us and we'll help to resolve any issues.
Conditions: Warranty is void if the product is altered, misused, or repaired by unauthorized personnel. Damage from improper maintenance or unsuitable environmental conditions is also excluded.
Important: Product Inspection Upon Delivery
Please inspect all items carefully for any damage that may have occurred during shipping immediately after unpacking and report within 24 hours of receiving the product.
Returns
We at Alto Med Supply are committed to ensuring you are delighted with every purchase. However, if you need to make a return, please reach out to us at support@altomedsupply.com, and we'll guide you through the return process.
Here are a few important points to note:
- You have the right to return your order within 30 calendar days of receiving the goods. Beyond this period, we regret that returns cannot be accepted.
- Products must be returned unused, and in their original packaging.
- Used mattresses and bathroom products cannot be returned due to hygiene reasons.
- Return shipping costs and restocking fee may apply. You can contact us to find out what that will be at the time of purchase as this value can change.
- Bespoke items cannot be returned unless damaged or faulty.
